Day Camp

Kindergarten to Grade 2

Senior Teen Weekend

Grade 9 to Grade 12

    This is a three day camp over Labor Day Weekend where high school students are able to dive deep into their faith and spend quality time with friends!

Our Summer 2025 Camp Pastors

    Bethany Abbott

    This year, our Trailblazer camp speaker is Bethany Abbott. Pastor Bethany Abbott serves as lead pastor at the Boswell Free Methodist Church in the rural community of Boswell, Indiana. She is passionate about studying, teaching, and living the truth from God's Word, as well as connecting with and serving alongside her church family. Pastor Bethany attended Olivet Nazarene University where she graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Children's Ministry in 2012 and a Master of Arts degree in Family Ministry in 2014. When not serving in the church or community, you'll probably find Pastor Bethany with her nose in a book, among her many houseplants, or up to her elbows in some crafting project. Pastor Bethany also loves hiking and kayaking, and spending time with her family across Indiana and Illinois.

    Christie Kessinger

    Our Guide Camp speaker for Summer 2025 is Christie Kessinger of Greenville. Christie Kessinger is the Children’s Pastor at Greenville Free Methodist Church. Christie is the wife of David and the mom of Collin, Carter, and Mylee. Her “people” are children; it is her great job and love to tell them about Jesus.

    Zach Davis

    Zach Davis will be our Young Teen 2 camp pastor this summer. He serves as the Next Gen Pastor at Emmanuel Free Methodist Church in Alton, IL. He is passionate about helping students discover the love of Jesus, grow in their faith, and live it out with confidence. Zach has a heart for discipleship and a love for relational ministry.

    He is married to Laura, and they have a 6-month-old son named Elias. Zach is excited to be part of camp this year and looks forward to all that God will do in the lives of students throughout the week.

    Mona Busch

    Our Day Camp Speaker this year is Mona Busch. Mona is a graduate of Greenville University and an adjunct instructor in the education department there. She is a retired science and math teacher. She lives in Decatur with her husband, Tom. Mona has two adult daughters, a son-in-law, and a granddog, Moose. She enjoys working with children, teaching Sunday School and Children’s Church at Moundford Free Methodist Church in Decatur. Mona also assists in Celebrate Recovery there.

    Paul Alf

    This year. Paul Alf of Janesville, WI, will be our Young Teen 1 camp pastor.
    Paul Alf is the lead pastor at Compass Church in Janesville, WI. He lives there with his wife Tiffany and three kids. He has a passion for Jesus, his family, and sports. He is excited to come back to Durley to speak.

  • SNACK SHOP money is paid during registration – No cash purchases are allowed during the camp week. Any unused money in your camper’s account will be donated back to the camp to be used for scholarships. Cost of snacks range from $.50 to $3.00 per item with a limit of 3 items per time.

    Young Teen Camps have 9 snack shop times – suggested total for the week is $20-$25; Guide Camp has 7 snack shop times – suggested total for the week is $15-$20; Trailblazer Camp has 3 snack shop times -- suggested total for the week is $8-$12. (Day Camp and Sr Teen Camp do not have snack shop times).

  • Please plan to check in beginning at 9am on the first day of camp. The closing session for each camp begins at 4pm - parents are encouraged to attend this session! Check out will immediately follow. (Day Camp’s closing session begins at 3p - parents are encouraged to attend this as well!)
