Meet Our Camp Pastors!

  • Day Camp

    Lisa Barber

    Lisa Barber embodies a passion for making a kingdom difference in the lives of children. She invests her whole life in the raising and formation of young children and their families. serving as the director of Early Childhood and Family Ministries at Greenville Free Methodist Church where she leads the Young Believers spiritual formation series for 3rd-5th grades. Lisa also serves as site director and resource coordinator for Bond County Core Community, an organization focused on engaging the local community to help lift people out of poverty, including families with young children. Lisa holds a B.S. in Elementary Education from Asbury University. Lisa and her husband, George, have five adult children, two of whom are married with one grandchild on the way.

    Jeremy Martin

    Jeremy is husband to Erin, and dad to Caleb, Jedidiah, and Andrew, and also lives with Dragon (13 year old Boston Terrier) and Lego (ageless cat). He is pastor of youth and Christian Formation at Greenville Free Methodist Church. Some of Jeremy’s favorite things are playing board games, watching birds, eating ice cream, and exploring beautiful places.

    Justin Mulholland

    Justin is a returning Greenville resident, having grown up in Greenville as a kid, and graduating from Greenville College in 2016. After graduating, Justin got his start in ministry running an indoor Ferris Wheel and has spent the last 7 years in ministry around the Gateway Conference. He is currently the Pastor of Local and Global Missions at the Greenville Free Methodist Church. Justin loves to see people experience wholeness in Christ. In his free time, he enjoys sports, reading, video games, hearing and sharing stories, and spending time with family and friends.

    CJ Dyas

    C.J. Dyas is a pastor at the Hillsboro Free Methodist Church in Hillsboro, Illinois. He has served as the worship and associate pastor since 2008. He grew up going to Durley Camp and still loves being out at camp! Some of his favorite things to do are playing games, hiking, and going camping with his family. C.J. is looking forward to what God has in store for Guide Camp this summer!

    Matt Cowman

    Hey, my name is Matt Cowman. I'm a lover of God and God's Word. A husband to my beautiful bride Hannah and a father to two beautiful children, Adelyn and Isaiah with 1 one the way. I'm a middle school US History and World Geography teacher in the beautiful city of East St Louis, IL. I've gotten to speak at Durley several years ago and I'm excited to grow in Christ together and look forward to seeing God work again at Durley!

    Joe and Wendy Schuffett

    Joe and Wendy are Co-Pastors of Foundation Church in Centralia, IL, a role they began in August of 2023. Joe adds this to his 30 years of pastoring experience. Wendy was ordained in the FM church in 2021 and has served as a spiritual director, women's, teens', and kids' retreat speaker. She is also currently working part-time with Eden's Glory/Foster Kairos. Joe and Wendy have 4 children, 1 grandchild, and 2 more grandchildren on the way. Joe loves to read, exercise, drink coffee, watch Alabama football, and play with his granddaughter. He especially loves the books of Revelation and Ecclesiastes. Wendy's interests include reading, traveling, and hiking. Psalm 27:4 is a favorite verse of hers.

  • Please plan to check in beginning at 9am on the first day of camp. The closing session for each camp begins at 4pm - parents are encouraged to attend this session! Check out will immediately follow. (Day Camp’s closing session begins at 3p - parents are encouraged to attend this as well!)
