WORK CREW DIRECTOR
The Work Crew Director will be responsible to and work with the Head Cook and Assistant Camp Director and will be directly responsible for the Work Crew team. The Work Crew Director will be at least of college age, a Christian, and willing to participate fully in the camping program. They are the lead worker and will lead by example.
The responsibilities of the Work Crew Director will include leading the following areas:
1. Provide leadership and spiritual guidance to the members of the work crew team
2. Stocking the snack shop, creating the schedule for workers, and seeing that the snack shop is operated smoothly (using work crew and other staff for the daily operation).
3. Supervising and helping the work crew meal times to ensure that the dishes are properly cleaned, the tables cleaned and cleared and the dining area is in good order. This supervision may also include some areas of drink preparation and set-up as assigned by the head cook.
4. Orchestrating the preparation and tear down of the dining area for every meal.
5. Touch base with Head Cook before and after each meal to ensure completion of checklist
6. Assisting the cooks by way of cleaning the cooking areas and washing the dishes and pots and pans
7. Removing the trash in the dining hall and around camp (including the snack shop) in the evening and as needed during the day
8. Setting up the Tabernacle and cleaning other parts of camp as needed.
9. Working with the cooks to maintain all health codes and clean working areas.
10. When not working for the kitchen staff, the work crew will be responsible to do other tasks assigned by the Camp Director and Assistant Camp Director as needed.
11. Be fully engaged with their assigned cabin and camp activities/worship sessions when media director responsibilities are complete.
