ACTIVITY DIRECTOR

The Activity Director will be responsible to, and work with, the Camp Director.  The Activity Director is responsible for planning, conducting, and evaluating the activity programs for the campers and to make safety a top priority. The Activity Director will be at least of college age, a Christian, and willing to participate fully in the camping program

The responsibilities of the Activity Director will include:

1. Working with the DPC to plan, coordinate, conduct, and evaluate daily recreation activities for the camps - specifically the all camp events and an afternoon activity.

2. Making sure that proper safety is observed in all activity areas.

3. Working within the youth camping sports budget to provide equipment and supplies needed in the recreation program.

4. Supervising the inventory, care, repair, and storage of recreation equipment.

5. Cleaning and organizing recreation equipment areas/closets.

6. Taking responsibility for locking and unlocking equipment and activity areas.

7. Organizing camp staff to assist with activity areas.

8. Ensure fresh water is available at each activity/recreation area daily.

9. Providing the camp director with a schedule of all camp events prior to the start of the week’s camp, and modify schedules throughout the week if needed.

10. Assisting and working with other camp staff. 

11. Be fully engaged with their assigned cabin and camp activities/worship sessions when activity responsibilities are complete.

12. Assisting the Camp Director.
